Airport
Tauranga Airport
is located in Mount Maunganui,. The terminal is located
to the north of the runway, on Jean Batten Drive. Air New
Zealand serves the airport through its subsidiaries Mount
Cook Airline and Air Nelson, with flights to Auckland, Wellington
and Christchurch. A further two regional airlines also operate
to the airport, as well as scenic and charter flights, skydiving
operations and general aviation.

Bus
Services
Buses have
no eftpos or credit card facilities. Please ensure you have
cash or use a Smartride card. A Smartride card is a reusable
prepay smartcard which can be used for travel, saving you
the hassle of carrying cash. Smartride card users receive
a discount on the regular cash fares. Eligible GOLD CARD
holders have free bus travel on the regional network from
9am on weekdays, and all day on weekends.

Cruise
Ship Visits
Tauranga hosted 116 cruise ship visits during the 2018-2019
season, with a similar number of calls forecast for the
2019-2020 season. The
cruise berth is next to picturesque Pilot Bay with easy
access to the rest of Tauranga city and the tourism attractions
of the wider Bay of Plenty. The port recently hosted the
luxurious Cunard Line flagship, the Queen Mary 2.

there are three PHOs. Enrolment
in a primary health organisation (PHO) is voluntary, but
people are encouraged to join a PHO in order to gain the
benefits associated with belonging to a PHO, which include
cheaper doctors' visits and reduced costs on prescription
medicines.
